Caer Lizards
Caer lizard eggs are kept in a special incubator - a deep box of sand, heated from above with an electric heat lamp and from below with heating coils to maintain a constant temperature. While the sand is often too hot for most humans to touch comfortably, it seems perfect for the lizards and their eggs. Mothers who have clutched can often be found curled up in the warm sand, fast asleep. Sometimes even a lizard bonded to one of the riders or Caer staff will choose to sleep in the incubator, if a territorial mother doesn't chase him or her away. There are almost always eggs available for those who want them - those who would like an egg or two must simply fill out the application, which is usually processed in a timely fashion by the Caer staff and filed in the record books.
