Institutes

Catena Island is home to four institutions of higher learning that cover a range of aesthetic and vocational subjects. Applicants are accepted based on a yearly entrance exam and a series of interviews. Tuition may be expensive, but the education often proves worth its cost, for graduates can find well-paying jobs with the skills they learn. The income that the schools bring in for their respective houses goes partially towards the taxes paid to their protectors and to funding civic projects in the settlements themselves.
